Subject: Regional Models of Cooperation – Regional Transit Planning - WEBINAR
The purpose of this message is to notify FTA Region 8 grantees and their regional planning partners about the upcoming Regional Models of Cooperation – Regional Transit Planning webinar sponsored by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Office of Planning and Environment and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Planning. This webinar will address collaboration across jurisdictional boundaries in Regional Transit Planning and will be held Friday, 16 October 2015, 11:00 – 12:30 pm MDT. This webinar is for representatives of state departments of transportation, metropolitan planning organizations, and public transportation providers. This session will be recorded.
Topic to be discussed:
Presenters will discuss their regions’ successful cooperative efforts around regional transit planning in complex regions with multiple agencies or jurisdictions. The webinar will focus on the techniques used by different regions to establish, maintain, and enhance regional transit planning cooperation across jurisdictional boundaries and the benefits realized from cooperation at a regional scale.
